Our Legacy
Minhajul Janna Dars: Continuing the Legacy of Traditional Islamic Learning
The traditional Dars system, which has transmitted the branches of Islamic knowledge to the Kerala Muslim community in its authentic form, is preserved and conducted with spiritual purity and a systematic academic approach through the great religious initiative known as the Minhajul Janna Dars.
This knowledge tradition was initiated under the leadership of Parannur P. P. Ibrahim Musliyar, a Sufi scholar and the Treasurer of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama. Since its beginning, this scholarly tradition has produced numerous learned scholars for the community, and its intellectual journey continues even today.
Under the leadership of the prominent scholar and Qazi of several mahals, Usthad Abdul Jaleel Baqavi, Dars classes are currently conducted in a highly systematic and high-standard manner in mahals such as Pullaloor, Naduvannur, and Koduvally.
Scholars who successfully complete their period of study in the Dars, while acquiring both religious and secular education, are awarded the Manhaji degree.
For students who wish to pursue both religious and worldly education together with a strong emphasis on spirituality in a contemporary manner, Minhajul Janna Dars provides a very convenient and supportive environment.
